I was up in Chicago anxiously awaiting a CocoRosie concert while the composers down at Butler University were drawing names out of a hat determining which performers they would be writing for for the 24-Hour Concert. Brooks Frederickson calls me while I'm at dinner letting me know that I would be writing for Nicole Eddington, bassoonist. After an exhuasting evening--and an incredible concert--I start my drive back to Indy around 4 in the morning so I can get to work with the little motifs I had scribbled on a napkin.
